Atelier Jacenko is a the studio run by Sydney based designer and educator, Alicia Jacenko. We work in the fields of art, design & education and concerned with sustainable design practice through custom gaphic and textile design projects and collaborations.
Alicia completed a Bachelor of Design from UNSW CoFA in 2006, specialising in Textile & Graphics/Media with first class honours. Her thesis focussed on the investigation of whether images of nature used in contemporary interior textile practice may indicate a level of concern for the environment. When the research indicated that more education of current designers towards sustainble design practice was required, a social need was established.
Whilst working in the commerical textile industry in a custom design and design studio managerial role she continued to develop and refine her range of skills. During this time Alicia also began to investigate the power of education in accepting a position as a design tutor at CoFA for the first year Design Studies students, helping students to develop competence in both varied drawing techniques and modelmaking projects.
This lead to the study and attainment of a Graduate Diploma in Education specialising in Design & Technology studies from UNDA.

Since beginning Atelier Jacenko, Alicia has worked with a range of clients and collaborators across the areas of graphic, textiles, product and education design.
The studio is available for custom design projects and consultation in any related creative fields. Have a look at our portfolio to see the varied projects we have had the pleasure of working on in the past few years.
We look forward to hearing about your upcoming projects.
